REGISTRATION FEE – INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

A non-refundable Registration Fee of £350 (including VAT) is payable upon acceptance of a place at the College.

DEPOSIT – INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The Deposit is paid in the first year only, upon entry into Padworth College. It is held on the student’s account and refunded (without interest) after the student has left school, less any outstanding fees or charges.

FEES INCLUDE:

  • All daily enrichment activities.
  • The Extended Project Qualification (optional) for students enrolled in Years 12 and 13.
  • Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE).
  • Sports.
  • Preparation for entry into top universities, including the Medical School Preparation Programme, plus guidance and support from our University and Careers Adviser.

FEES FOR BOARDING STUDENTS ALSO INCLUDE:

  • Evening activities.
  • International, healthy and balanced cuisine by top caterers (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
  • One designated activity per term, designed to encourage students to integrate and allow them to experience the UK.  Students are welcome to participate in any event that is suitable for them, however, not all events are included in the fees (refer below for further details).

The Principal, Head of Boarding and House Parents reside on campus and are available 24/7. Medical care is available through the boarding team, as well as the local doctor’s surgery.

The College’s school and boarding facilities are closed during the Winter, Spring and Summer school breaks as well as the Half Term breaks. We do not have exeat weekends, as our boarding philosophy is to embrace boarding students as part of our family and to provide continuity in our educational provision.

FEES DO NOT INCLUDE:

  • Study Materials.
  • Text books, including e-books.
  • Specialised study materials (e.g., art), stationery.
  • Laptop or tablet device (required for all students).
  • Exam fees (I/GSCE, A Levels, IELTS etc.), which vary by Exam Board and are typically £60 to £80 for I/GCSEs and £120 to £150 for A Levels, with a few exceptions.
  • UCAS Application Fees.
  • Extra 1:1 tuition.
  • IELTS tuition (see above fees table for costings).
  • Additional I/GCSE subject (for students enrolled in Years 12 and 13).
  • Mother-Tongue/Language Programme.
  • Optional specialist academic trips and excursions (e.g., Geneva).
  • Student visa.
  • Guardianship.
  • Medical insurance and travel insurance.
  • Pocket money.
  • Additional trips to local towns, such as Reading or Newbury. run by Padworth staff.  Students are required to cover the cost of train travel to and from these locations – typical cost of approximately £5.00.
  • Insurance for personal belongings.
  • Airport transfers, when travelling to/from Padworth at the start and end of each term.  These can be organised, the cost of which is added to the student’s school account.  Please contact our Registrar, Clare McNally for details of the cost of airport transfers.

1: 1 TUITION

1:1 tuition is available upon request and ranges from £45 to £60 per hour.

ADDITIONAL I/GCSE SUBJECT

Students in Years 12 and 13 can pursue an additional I/GCSE subject, with fees of £1,250 per term.

STUDENT VISAS

International students attending a course for a duration of 6 months or more require a Child Student or Student Visa to study in the United Kingdom.

For those students requiring a Child Student or Student Visa, we will require payment of the registration fee, acceptance deposit and first term fee before any supporting visa documentation will be issued.

Students who do not have an educational agent to assist with the visa application will be referred to our immigration lawyers, Holmes and Partners. We will cover the cost of their services. Students who have an educational agent who are unable to assist them with the visa application process will also be referred to Holmes and Partners however, they will be required to pay for this service. The cost of this is £495 plus VAT and is payable directly to Holmes and Partners. For further details, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@padworth.com

Students who need to apply for a visa will also need to pay the visa application fee of £490 and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHC) of £776 per year. The visa application fee and IHC are paid directly to the UKVI at the time of application.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

Sibling remission is applied as follows, and only when siblings are enrolled at Padworth College at the same time:

When 2 siblings are enrolled at Padworth:

  • 10% discount applied to termly fees only for the older child.
  • 0% discount applied to the younger child.

When 3 siblings are enrolled at Padworth:

  • 10% discount applied to termly fees only for the older child.
  • 5% discount applied to termly fees only for the middle child.
  • 0% discount applied to the younger child.

The Registration Fee of £350 (including VAT) is payable for each sibling.

WEEKLY BOARDING

Weekly boarding is available upon request. Occasional boarding is available upon request and is subject to availability:

  • Whole Week: 7 nights.
  • School Week: 5 nights.
  • Weekend: 2 nights.
  • School Day: 1 night.
